WASTE IN MOGOTES SANTANDER

One of the most relevant issues affecting the municipality of Mogotes Santander is the lack of environmental culture on the part of the community. The majority of the inhabitants not to recognize the classification of wastes due to lack of education and environmental culture and in addition to the current president has not wanted to carry out properly the waste management plan.

In the main educational institution of the municipality of Mogotes, the teachers and students have developed several projects in the area of natural sciences, in order to reduce the environmental impact of the different kinds of waste.

One of the proposals that have been developed in the classroom is to collect materials such as paper, cardboard, glass, plastic, cans, etc., with the objective of converting these materials in the raw material of the artistic class.

For example, in the current school year students developed garbage basket for the institution and for the main parts of the town, so as to eliminate the purchase of plastic waste baskets.

 

 

Once completed this first phase of the project will be managed to rescue the art, recycling, ethics and values with the environment, also created spaces for the collection of recycled material, both in the institution as in the municipality, and expose this work in the main fair of the town.
